Finally have caught up from being gone this summer and I’m settling into a routine which Yes! includes some studio time. I’ve been working my way through a complex project which neeeds to be done in two weeks. I’m taking inspiration from a short vignette I wrote- the visual images then will be “translated’ into a number of art pieces.
Here is another of the fabric collages that tumble forward from the story. I still have fine embellishments to add including some polymer clay work. I’ll show that later this week, well probably next week actually if I’m being realistic!.
Back from the summer workshops in France and it was a delightful time filled with inspiration, adventure, sharing experiences with other artists and enjoying a rich stew of creativity. I’m inspired to get back to my own work. It’ll take me a couple weeks to catch up and get settled in and then I hope to continue with my collages that include fabric and polymer clay. It’s a direction I’m very excited about.
This a picture of one of my favorite contemporary fountains in Revel- the village five minutes from us. The man is actually full length and sits at the end of a long stream of water that runs through a plaza. An Artist market is held here every Saturday, right close by the traditional Saturday market of food, flowers etc.
